SEAT Leon gets new engines choices

For those drivers interested in a contract hire SEAT Leon, there are new engine options for 2021.

The petrol and diesel choices boost the attraction for what is the firm's most popular car.

There's a 2.0-litre TSI petrol unit available for the Leon Hatch which produces 187 bhp.

And for those wanting the stylish Leon estate, there's the addition of a 2.0-litre TDI diesel unit producing 113 bhp.

The petrol engine is available with the firm's DSG automatic transmission, while the diesel unit comes with a six-speed manual gearbox.

There is also the first Leon plug-in hybrid available which costs from £31,835.

SEAT Leon car leasing range

The SEAT Leon car leasing range sees the petrol engine offering fuel consumption of 43 mpg, with emissions of 151g/km.

Its top speed is 144 mph, and the 0 to 62 mph sprint time is 7.4 seconds.

There's a new price for the Leon hatchback and it is £28,810.

The SEAT Leon eHybrid couples a 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine with four cylinders with an electric motor and a battery.

The combined power output is 201 bhp to help deliver fuel economy of 235 mpg, and emissions of just 27g/km.

Equipment for the Leon Hatchback

Equipment for the Leon Hatchback FR trim includes a sport suspension to deliver agile handling, 17-inch alloy wheels, a driving profile selection system plus ambient lighting.

Drivers also get rain sensing wipers, dark tinted rear windows and smartphone integration.

For those wanting a Leon with more equipment and luxury, then the Xcellence trim has been updated.

Drivers get to enjoy keyless entry, electric folding door mirrors, a heated steering wheel and heated front seats.

The Xcellence Lux trim adds leather upholstery, adaptive cruise control, high beam assist and dynamic road sign display.

Trims for the Leon estate

There are two trims for the Leon estate 2.0 TDI and prices start for the SE trim at £24,515.

Its top speed is 124 mph with drivers enjoying fuel consumption of 66 mpg, and emissions of 114g/km.

The Benefit-in-Kind (BiK) rate for the Estate SE trim is 25%, and for the SE Dynamic, it is 26%.

The BiK rating for the petrol-powered hatch will be 33%.

Drivers of the estate also get seven paint options, while those wanting the Leon hatch get eight paint schemes including Midnight Black and Magnetic Grey.
