Tesla Inc

Tesla is an American multinational automotive company with its headquarters in Austin, Texas. It Is famous for its electric cars, named after the historical electrical pioneer Nikola Tesla, and now famously owned by the world's richest person, Elon Musk.

Its meteoric rise as a motor manufacturer started in 2003 when it was founded. Its first vehicle came off the production line in small numbers in 2008 as a convertible roadster; this was the first of a new generation of electric cars produced, designed, and developed in-house. With Musk’s investment, Tesla went on to produce its first-ever mass-production saloon, the Model X, which was launched in Fremont, CA, in June 2012.

Taking ownership of producing its own batteries, Tesla opened its first gigafactories outside America. This was in Shanghai, China, in 2019. Tesla's first step outside America enabled them to supply cars and batteries to the rest of the world.

Tesla is responsible for 14% of the electric car market in the UK*

One of the reasons electric cars are popular on UK roads is because of generous government grants and a tax system that rewards company car drivers with a low benefit in kind (Bik).

With high residual values, leasing a Tesla makes it very affordable for companies and private drivers to enjoy driving these iconic cars.

The four models in current production are the Model S, Model X, Model 3, and the latest model, the Model Y. The Tesla range is very distinctive on the road, with its sloping front and back. Even though the cars to the unfamiliar eye look similar, each car has its own attributes.

The Model S Plaid

Numbers a 396*-mile range on a full charge, 0-60 miles per hour in 1.99 seconds, top speed of 200 miles per hour, 1020bhp, high resolution 17” movable touchscreen, studio grade sound quality, enhanced autopilot, stunning looks and, oh yes, you can also store your bike in the boot!

Model X Plaid is an all-electric SUV crossover with 5 seats as standard, and 6 and 7 seats are an option; taller than the Model S with the unique Falcon Wing doors that go up and over, unlike traditional gullwing doors, the Falcon wing doors fit flush to the cabin and offer easy access to the rear seats.

The Model X

Also has an enhanced autopilot with full self-driving capability. The interior is impressive, with a unique steering wheel; the rear passengers have access to a comprehensive infotainment system, including wireless gaming and a high-resolution screen. Access to the car is by your smart mobile phone, as is pre-conditioning and destination planning.

The range on the Model X is estimated at 348 miles on a single charge, a speed of 155 mph, and will achieve 0-60 in 3.8 seconds*. The dual motor and the all-wheel drive give outstanding performance and surefooted cornering on the most challenging roads.

The most popular Tesla you will see on UK roads is the Model 3

It has sleek, sporty lines and is available in three model variants. Model 3 is rear-wheel drive and has a 305-mile range. Model 3 Long Range has a dual motor and 4x4 All-Wheel Drive, a 374-mile range and enhanced performance. Model 3 Performance, again a dual motor and AWD, a 340-mile charge range of 162 miles per hour and 0-60 at 3.1 seconds*. All three of these models are very affordable when leasing.

Model Y

Is the latest version from Tesla; it has the same variant offer as the Model 3 with slightly less single-charge range, 267,331 and 319*, respectively. The difference is that the overall size of the Model Y is taller and broader, and it’s a hatchback.

Tesla has their own network of superchargers, which has helped to advance the sales of its Models, exclusively for Tesla drivers; at the last count, there were 880* charging stations in the UK at more than 90 locations, offering 172 miles of charge in 15 minutes.

All Tesla cars come with a 4-year or 50,000-mile warranty, with a battery warranty of 8 years or between 100k miles and 150k miles, depending on the model. Servicing is conducted at the small dealership network, and a comprehensive team of mobile technicians covers breakdowns.

At the heart of it, Tesla is more than an Automotive manufacturer; developments in batteries not just for vehicles, but for home and business applications, for example, their Powerwall, which stores solar power to supplement a reliance on the power grid.

Unlike other manufacturers, Tesla

Continuously updates hardware and software on its vehicles rather than launching different model year cars. It also allows competitors to license its technology to help accelerate the world’s sustainable energy.

There are many deals and offers available for your next Tesla. Some of the best deals are leasing or personal contract hire (PCH). Here are some benefits of choosing PCH.

One of the main advantages of a PCH is that it can help you budget more effectively. Your monthly payments are fixed, so you'll always know exactly how much you need to set aside. This can be particularly useful if you're worried about your expenses increasing.

Another benefit is that you won't have to worry about selling the car when you no longer want it. You'll need to find a buyer with an outright purchase and haggle over the price. But with a PCH, you can hand the car back to the leasing company at the end of the term and start looking for your next leased car.

Other benefits of choosing a PCH deal include a low initial payment and the ability to personalise your lease to suit your needs. Plus, with many different Tilsun models available on lease, you can get a higher-specification car for your budget.

So, if you're considering leasing your Tesla, check out the best Tilsun Leasing PCH deals.
