Volkswagen, or VW for short, is a German motor manufacturer. The German state founded VW in 1937. It has turned out to be one of the world's largest manufacturers of motor vehicles and is famous for some of the most iconic cars ever produced.
The VW Beetle, or the People's Car, was the first car that VW produced at the post-war bomb-damaged Wolfsburg factory, and this strange-shaped split rear window sedan was a success with the occupying forces and locals alike.
Eventually, the Beetle was exported to America in 1949 to help kick start the then-West German economy after the Second World War.
In 1959, VW had factories in both America and Brazil, helping to produce the cars on a massive scale. In 2003 when the VW Beetle finished production after 65 years, over 21 million beetles had been sold [1] by VW worldwide; it was, after all, the car for the people.
A multi-international manufacturer of motor vehicles. The range is extensive, from small hatchbacks to large SUVs, Petrol, diesel, hybrid, and fully electric cars are available from VW.
The most famous in this modern group of VW cars is the VW Golf dynamic 5dr hatchback, released during the 1970s. Even in the UK, it is still an exceedingly popular and aspirational car; it is now in its eighth generation.
There is a vast array of trim levels, from the easily affordable Life to the R line. The plug-in hybrids have been designated with the letter E. The Performance VW Golfs starts with GTi and GTD for diesel and GTE hybrid versions and high-performance models like the R32and Clubsport.
VW also has a small city car in the form of the VW UP! 3 or 5 doors are available. This is “cool in the city, ' built with the same quality and comfort as any other VW product.’
It is a small, roomy car with big features, this is a busy marketplace for vehicles, and there is a lot of choice in this sector; however, the draw of the Polo is the quality build of the product. The Polo has four trim levels to choose from and two one-litre engine types in either auto DSG or manual gearbox.
VW is significant in the SUV market, from the compact T-Cross that is great out and about in the urban environment to the new stylish T-Roc, which gives style and practical space.
Is always a popular family vehicle, with fabulous looks full of the latest tech, and if you have a big family, then the Tiguan Allspace is a full-on 7-seater.
If you are looking for a more powerful full-size SUV, then look no further than the three-litre V8 4x4 diesel Volkswagen Touareg; it projects an imposing sight on the road and is a classy high-end motor car.
Available as an estate; it is spacious and comfortable and is now available as a plug-in hybrid. It has been a small business workhorse since 1973.
Was launched for sale in 2017 as a large spacious luxury executive model, available as a sporty fastback or as a shooting brake; it is now available as a plug-in hybrid.
Is a family favourite, efficient, customisable, and well connected, available in 4 different trim levels with a 1.5 petrol engine and choice of manual or automatic.
That was a statement that VW made in the 1970s that has more traction today than ever before. With companies like VW aspiring to manufacture cars sustainably and have less of an environmental impact, VW is achieving this with the ID electric range; there are currently four fully electric models to choose from, the ID 3, ID 4, and ID5, and one of them based on the famous original “hippie” camper van, the ID BUZZ.
The multi-award-winning ID3 has futuristic styling and a contemporary interior with a range of 265* miles on a single charge; it is an excellent choice as a 5-door family hatchback. Available as a Life specification with a pro performance option, the ID 3 has a good level of specification as standard.
The ID4 Crossover SUV, built in Chattanooga, Tennessee, is available in eleven variants; trim levels are Life and Style with 52kw or 77kw battery, with performance options, pro, and pro performance you can choose the combination that suits you, the range varies from 220 miles per single charge up to 317.*
Sitting at the top of the ID4 range is the All-Wheel Drive GTX and GTX Max. Both these stylish variants are high specification and high performance.
The coupe-style ID 5 comes in three variants Style, Tech, and Max. All trim levels come with a high-quality standard specification, such as a panoramic roof, 19-inch wheels, and keyless entry. On a single charge, mileage achievable Is between 322 and 327 miles. *
Like the ID 4, the ID 5 has All-Wheel drive high-performance variants, Pro, Pro performance, and GTX 4Motion. These twin motor versions offer exciting acceleration, albeit with a stiffer suspension and a reduced range, but to compensate for this, they have a remarkably high level of technology.
The ID Buzz brings a smile to your face with a nod to the iconic VW campervan. The new ID Buzz is filled with state-of-the-art technology and plenty of space. As you can imagine, it is an electric vehicle fully connected to the modern on-the-go family. ID Buzz comes in two variants, the Life and the Style and has an estimated range of 258* miles on a single charge and can recharge from 5% to 80% in 30 minutes. Have fun styling your ID Buzz with its two-tone colours and exciting interiors to make it bespoke to you.
VW and its corporate namesake, The Volkswagen Group, are multinational producers of cars, vans, and trucks, like the Amarok. VW owns multiple brands and subsidiaries like Audi, Seat, Porsche, Bentley Bugatti, and Skoda and is acknowledged as Europe’s largest motor manufacturer.
VW has had a chequered past; however, they have shown that they embrace challenges and look at solutions to a problem as an opportunity to improve. As such, they will always be ahead of the curve with ideology and innovation; this shows in the cars they have produced in the past, now, and in the future.
A personal contract hire (PCH) could be the best option if you're leaning towards leasing. Here are some benefits of choosing PCH.
One of the main advantages of a PCH is that it can help you budget more effectively. Your monthly payments are fixed, so you'll always know exactly how much you need to set aside. This can be particularly useful if you're worried about your expenses increasing.
Another benefit is that you won't have to worry about selling the car when you no longer want it. You'll need to find a buyer with an outright purchase and haggle over the price. But with a PCH, you can hand the car back to the leasing company at the end of the term and start looking for your next lease car.
Other great benefits of choosing a PCH deal include a low initial payment and the ability to personalise your lease to suit your needs. Plus, with so many different models available on lease, you can generally get a higher specification car for your budget.
So,if you're considering leasing your next car, check out the best Tilsun Leasing PCH deals on offer. Check out our available VW leasing deals for their excellent value.
